Our tactical medicine school is a law-enforcement agency based program and offers a 2-week 80 hours plus comprehensive didactic tactical medicine curriculum, which uniquely integrates both medical and tactical education, hands on training, firearms instruction and personalized attention. Learning the concepts of tactical medicine is enhanced by scenario based teaching. To ensure the maximum learning benefit both modules should be taken consecutively.

Basic Tactics & Medicine (BTM) - Module A

Basic Tactics & Medicine (BTM) Module A is open to EMTs Paramedics, Navy Corpsman, Army Medics, Air Force PJs, Nurses, Physician Assistants, Physicians and Surgeons that are actively involved in providing emergency medical support for military and law enforcement special operations teams. It is also an ideal program for those individuals that want to receive a strong educational foundation in tactical medicine prior to establishing a new team.

Advanced Tactics & Medicine (ATM) - Module B

Advanced Tactic & Medicine (ATM) Module B is the second half of the two week program and provides additional intensive training and skills in both tactics and advanced medical care for those serious about their commitment to providing the best medical care possible for their agency and team members. The two week program covers the core content of tactical medicine.

Tactical Life Saver

This course will focus on emergency care provided to victims and or injury related to law enforcement or military operations. During this course you will learn how to uitilize your sidearm effectively in defensive close range situations. You will also learn how to perform a tactical rescue of downed officers or civilian persons from the line of fire, and begin first aid treatment. This course is ideal for military, law enforcement, and specialized medical personnel with basic weapon handling and shooting skills.

Note: Before we can accept an application from anyone outside of Italy, we must have proof that you are in possession of a valid European Gun Transportation Permit or Temporary Firearms Importation Form and can bring your own weapons and equipment to Italy. We do not provide weapons or equipment for the course.

Upon completion of the course graduates will receive a certificate of training from the International School of Tactical Medicine, USA. ISTM is the only Tactical Medicine School approved by the United States Department of Homeland Security. To enroll in this course you must be a member of the Military, a Law Enforcement Unit, Sworn Security Guard, or a specialized medic paramedic with basic firearms training. You must download and complete the enrollment form from http://www.tacticaladvantage.ch. All participants will receive a confirmation via E-mail with all information of interest attached, 10 days prior to the course.

Range Medical First Responder

This course will focus on emergency care provided to victims of an accidental or negligent discharge, as well as other types of accidents that may occur during firearms training. You will also be instructed on how and why accidental or negligent discharges occur and how to avoid and prevent these situations. We will show you what materials you should have in your first aid kit and how to use these items to treat gun shot wounds and provide emergency medical care. This course is suitable for firearms instructors, Range Masters, and shooters interested in improving range safety and first aid skills.
